  • Reset Play Count

I have searched the forums, and have found no simple answer. All I want is to do is right click on selected track(s) and have the option to reset play count. Thus far the only way I have found to reset play count is to remove the track(s) from the media library then rescan then exit WinAmp then move the tracks back and rescan again. Is there an easier way?

you can just clear the ML and rescan from scratch. no moving files. go to prefs > ML > local media > options and hit the clear ML button.

Hi MrSinatra, that sorts my problem of reseting the play count for everything.

What I would like to do is only reset about 489 tracks out of several thousand. I found a plug-in called ml_plcount.dll and have copied this to my plugins folder however I am unable to get it to work. The thread I found it on was from 2004 so I guess it is no longer functional.

Thank you for your help thus far and your tip on clearing the play count for everything works a treat.

        np, glad to help.

unfortunately winamp has no active plugin verification. i'm pretty sure if its from 2004 it won't work tho.

u can play around with exporting and importing the XML itunes ML files, but that will involve automated edits to the right column of values.
