"play all songs from this album"

In media library right click, it usually lets you

"play all songs from this album"
"play all songs from this artist"

etc

seems to have been replaced with "view all songs from this album"

any idea why the change?? Or can i change this back? Or is there a plugin or something i can mod?

Hi,

You must have been using an old version. That change has been in place for a while. It is just 2 more right clicks to select and play all the listed songs from the artist or album.

Ok, 3 right clicks instead of 1, but is it really that bad?

it's not really the clicks, its more that it takes over my search view/filter making me have to type it again and scroll back to the right spot....

Any idea where this is in the change log?

i don't know what ver the change happened in, but i don't see why you'd need it?

in 5.63, i have a 3 pane view, albumartist top left, art top right, tracks bottom. i can simply select the albumartist to play all tracks by them, or click on art to play all tracks on that album.

why not do that instead of rely on a context menu?

EDIT: also, do you know about the "remember view" pref that saves your place in the ML?

Remember view, remembers the view, but not the place within a list in that view. When you return to the view, you are placed at the top of the list you were in.

i know, but its still useful for him to know the pref if he doesn't.

ah, i set my media library so i just use one pane (the track list) and search everything from the search bar. Makes everything look a lot cleaner!

sure, but you can have as many smartviews as you want, and switch freely between them. i think you'd find options preferable, as u could go to the view you need for the job.
