That seems to suggest that one or more of those files caused Winamp to barf.
However, I can add them all without a problem.
Maybe the files are not the problem: could be their path and/or environment.
Maybe the Id3v2.4 tags cause a problem.

Don't expect any response from a Winamp developer.

Dropbox is a good way to share files. There are also free sites.

allright, where do i upload them to and how do i share them then?

plus, couldnt winamp just be made resistant to those files instead of throwing a fid? Id really love to use it since i have the feeling that the quality of winamp is better then many other players (maybe just the nostalgia) but thees kinds of errors are super pesky and really kill my mood.

Also, when i switch sound devices from say headphones to hdmi, it also crashes.

U don't delete the files, u fix them.

Scan with mp3tag for tag issues, and mp3val for header issues.

It would be nice if u would provide some example files that crash Winamp so the problem could be fixed.

So, i have the exact same issue but with multiple files. It is highly annoying to watch the library scan 20k+ files and then manualy delete every file when winamp crashes on it. Is there any way someone could do something about this in a faster way?

Thanks a lot!!! I checked the Watch Folders and identified which file caused it to crash. I think there were too many characters used for the file name.

    The issue was resolved!!

    Thanks mate!

Winamp Crashes upon Adding Media to Library

Running Winamp 5.8, when prompted to add media to the library, the program crashes with no error message after 4% of adding. I have over 20k songs and I had this issue with 5.666 as well.

I tried running the program as administrator and I get the same issue.

    I have Windows 10 64bit.

Suggestions? Is there a patch? Update?
Working...
