Install issue

I've installed Winamp several times several versions on several computers. This time when I installed v 5.8 on a win 7 machine it apparently got installed as an administrator or something so that every time I open the program I have to click OK that I want to allow Winamp to make changes to my computer. Do I need to uninstall and re-install to get rid of that? If so what do I need to do differently next time so I don't re-create that pop up again?

Uninstall Winamp, then reinstall it into it's own top-level folder ie. C:\Winamp.

I can try that. I know I never installed in any folder than the default one before and never had this issue. It's located in Progrram Files (x86) now.

Beginning with Windows 7, Microsoft started putting restrictions on what programs can do when installed under the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders. I'm now using Windows 10 and the restrictions have increased.

Bottom line, CJ_Man is right. To avoid these issues don't install stuff under the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders.
