  • Removing played songs

Hi, I'm a Winamp fan user. I need help with a little issue that I have when I try to move a folder containing songs on Windows 11. I can't move it on any other location on my PC unless I close winamp. It means that winamp is 'locking the files played until you close the player. It's really annoying for me. Is there any way to 'release' the played songs in order to move or delete them?

    Thank you

probably not. the OS locks down folders or files it thinks are being used, be they by a program or otherwise.

i am a little surprised tho that if you have winamp stopped, not paused, it won't let you move the files or folders.

It could also be a bug in the Media Library or a third-party plugin or an application that hooks other applications holding a lock on the files. A hijack this log and List of Plugins might be warranted.
