  • My PC does not see that Winamp has been installed

I know this sounds weird, but I have upgraded from the last version to the latest and now all my music files have been reset to the default Windows Player icons. Also, when I right click on my mp3s and want to select "Open with" it does not list Winamp as an option to play my files... I have to manually go the the Winamp installation folder and select the Winamp .exe icon to play via "Open with". I can confirm that Winamp indeed is installed, but it is behaving as if it is not.

    I hope this makes sense.

Any advice on how to fix this? I have installed via upgrade and also done clean installs and restarted my pc... Unfortunately, this does not help. The previous version works perfectly.
