Ok but even if I go with a simple clean install of 5.91 I still have this problem : I'm unable to move a smartview up or down , error message in Library "unable to display an appropriate library view. Please select a view from one to the left or re-install Winamp with library plug-ins as applicable"
Please do you think I could normaly copy and paste
AppData\Roaming\Winamp\Plugins\ml folder
and
AppData\Roaming\Winamp\Plugins\gen_ml.ini
from 5.8 to a clean install of 5.9 without bugging the app ?

Finally I had more problem appearing, like playlist not allowing some drag & drop, imposible to move smartview, I decided to skip 5.9 and go back to 5.8
What i would know now it is how could I have a clean install of 5.9 and keeping all my smartviews because I have a lot.
I think if I use Winamp Backup Tool software it will not only transfert my smartviews but all the gen_ml file which as I saw won't work for me with 5.9, I'm stuck here, any idea please how to have this clean install of 5.9 and only transfer my smartview ?
I have cleaned up all my MP3 tags, the problem is still there.
What could possibly induce a CPU drop from average 0,8% up to 5% when I update MP3 tags in my main playlist, and that stay to this level, until I select another smartview or close and reopen Winamp ?
More, the problem appears only if "update file(s) tags if supported by the tagging format" is selected, when not selected there is no problem. I do use this option
After several clean install of winamp and a different selection of files to restore from Winamp Backup Tool, I noticed it could come from my Winamp Media Library Core Settings / Databases. I tried to look inside my gen_ml file with notepad but I wasn't able to find something suspicious because i don't have the knowledge it need.
I have also tried to look in my ml/views with no result of what could be suspicious.
Then, trying to understand, I noticed something : I am able to down back again to 0,8% CPU usage after editing a tag in my main playlist simply by selecting another smartview in my media library
Hoping this could led you on the way of what is happening here
Thank you again for all your work
Also, perhaps the issue could come from some types of MP3 or info because it is not absolutly each time I edit tags that the issue appears.
I use to manage my mp3 with "MP3tags" software, so as I clean up from them a lot of info when I get them perhaps winamp miss something from it and the issue appears ?? I continue my research

I'm invetigating. I thought it was possibly my tilte ATF code that may cause the problem because it is complicated but no, even with juste %title% I experience this CPU usage change.
High CPU usage after MP3 tags edit only in main playlist
I apologies, my english is not strong.
I am experiencing a strange problem and I am not able to find anything about it nowhere.
Since several Winamp versions including this last one when I update MP3 tags in my main playlist (not in the library) I experience a change in CPU usage from an average 0,8% to nearly 5%. My problem is it will never down back again to 0,8% after a any tag edit. I have to shutdown and open again Winamp to make it back to normal.
If you have any idea or suggestion I apreciate a lot.
Thank you for all your work
