When burning a CD, I assemble all the songs in a common folder. Next, because there's always a difference in the sound level from song to song, I arrange the songs in order, from the loudest to the quietest. Windows keeps them in alphabetical order, so in order to defeat that, I rename them as a, b, c, d, etc., with 'a' being the loudest.
At this point, I 'Select All' and play them in Winamp for a preview. Winamp, however, doesn't respect the alphabet and puts the songs in its own order, not mine. Why is that?
Up to now, I have been selecting the songs one at a time, and in order, and clicking on "Enqueue in Winamp." That's time consuming, though, and generally goes against my grain. Is there a way to get Winamp to keep them in the same order as they are in the folder?
