2.91 Media Library Playlists .m3u Filenames

The Media Library Playlists saves to .m3u files with name like plf1A6A.m3u. Why not name the file the same as the name of the playlist? For example, my playlist is named "Steve Walker" so the filename should be "Steve Walker.m3u. I can then easily identify the file when I do List->Import Playlist from File in the Media Library.

It's not the old playlist editor but the new Media library playlist. You can export the playlist to a file and name it whatever you choose to. However, this is an extra unnecessary step since WinAmp 2.91 automatically saves it to a madeup filename such as plf1A6A.m3u. When you name the playlist as shown inside WinAmp, you would want WinAmp to use that same name for the filename.m3u. You can later identify it when you need to use the "import playlist". Note that a directory of filenames like plf1A6A.m3u are meaningless.

Ohhh, I looked through my winamp folder in the ml folder and i saw all these files like the one you showed.. Now I understand. Your right, unnecessary to do that extra step. They dont play either, if they dont do anything then why are they there?(probably a stupid question)

the only reason could be to keep the possibility to create playlists which have exactly the same name, but in my opinion this in unneccessary too.
