A Plugin to replace sony connect player.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but... Can someone at Nullsoft please have a word with Sony and tell them how to create a decent Player. I have just forked out for a brand new Sony Nw-A3000 walkman and while the hardware is great the Connect (media library and player) software is bloody useless . I just cant manage my library with it . Does anyone know if there are winamp plugins in the pipeline or if there is another way i can aviod using connect, as its making me lose the will to live.

Amen! I was going to purchase a HiMD player, but a blind friend said that the SonicStage or whatever software is totally unaccessible. Winamp is accessible to the blind.

Here here (or is it hear hear?). Two days, TWO DAYS, spent on the Sony software. I eventually managed to get going using Connect's predecessor, SonicStage, which is still bloody awful but not quite as bad as Connect.

I'd love to manage the player via Winamp.

I heard some things on the grape vine about devices. But as far as Sony devices, I have no idea. Do any other media players interface with it other than sony? Real? YME? That usually points to if its something that is licensable or prehaps free to implement.

I can't believe Sony made such a bad quality product. Usually, all their products are top-notch.

Well, I managed to burn through two walkman's in the past two year...

Received 2 mp3 players this chrismas,
I don't know if I should be happy or worried
First is sony A1000 (6go) with connectplayer
second is sony NWE505 (512mo) with sonicstage
Guess what? the too program don't seem to be compatible...
I will start again tonight from scratch, but this is really boring stuff,
I had an ipod that got stolen, and I don't know why I got sony stuff for chrismas...
ml_ipod is so good I wish there was something equivalent for sony.

before trying connect player, I tough itune was bad
know I am at a point where I actually miss it

As most of people on this forum I have a big ass mp3 library, and guess what connect player do...
it convert every song to atrac3 when you upload to your player
It takes more time to upload to the player than to download from internet...
I have tried 5 times to send something to my player it froze "(un)connect player" 3 times...

Before chrismas I was frustrated that I could not listen to music in transport, guess 2006 won't change much

Just been to the sony connect player site (you have to use Internet explorer fuck you sony)
in the faq you can find this :
Importing a large amount of music may take up to 4 or 5 hours.

Absolutely - Sony's Network Walkman series are excellent pieces of hardware, but the software is absolute tripe. After several hours of searching etc I came across the following, which may be of some help to users/plugin developers.

hi, i also had much problems with connect player. So i tried this plugin. But my computer sees my nw-a1000 as a removable usb device. Not as the Nw-a1000. How can i solve this so i can add music to my music player.
