Advanced Sorting Options

Its a while that Winamp has embedded advanced sorting options for both PL & ML.
Though PL has a sort function thats too simple & probably not enough. It should also take into account various criteria like album, artist (it has title already) etc.
Similar would be for the ML in its several smart views. Though single criterion sort is available by clicking column headers for Asc/Desc, many a times its not enough. Whats needed is secondary sort options like for example whatever the criteria in the smart view or for that matter the entire Library view itself, it should provide to sort first by Album (just an exmpl) & further by Title or similarly for Artist.
Its sometimes good while at times not that ML (entire collection view) lists entries sorted in just one criteria & further by the simple order in which files added. However in a future release of Winamp, I would like these suggestions to be implemented.

Some additional points regarding Equalizer

One more thing I would like Winamp to have is a larger gain range for the Winamp Equalizer, about +/- 20dB. The present +/- 12dB is not sufficient for some tracks I've come across. The fact that this would require only a minor change in the range makes it an easier job, I hope. The number of bands (10 now) seems good for most tracks.

This would not only do away with the need to use separate 3rd party plugins, which may have certain issues, but also do the job of a good equalizer. (Presets + Ability for user to save & AutoLoad are good features not found in most other DSP Equalizer plugins).

I would also like to know what the AUTO feature of the Equalizer does.(The one between On/Off and Presets)

With the Auto button you activate auto-presets, which are linked to specific files. More info:

I agree on the ML sort options. It would be nice that if you want to sort on artist and then year, you could first click the Year column and then Artist.

Just fyi, for more sort options in the playlist editor you can install ActiveWinamp, optionally with additional sorting scripts.

Thanks for info on AUTO (presets) feature. What about the larger gain range for Equalizer?
