May I ask for help with older version of Winamp?

I've been using an older version of Winamp for years and finally am ready to try to migrate my settings and playlists to a current version.

I seem to recall that some years ago I logged into a Winamp forum (not sure if it was this one) and found a warning that only posts about the latest version would be permitted.

If that's the case here, would I be permitted to ask for help migrating from my antique version to the current version?

i think if you do a proper backup, u will be safe. once u are sure you have a backup of your settings and playlists, etc, you should be able to install 5.9.1 RC3 over top of whatever you have now.
