What is the bet that bug happens to be the fact you are using newer versions libraries than that alpha was programmed/compiled to use.

I am sure if they released a beta tomorrow it would work on all current versions of GNU/Linux.

i dunno... cause i got it to load once, and never again. full re-install doesnt help.

One day left. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I don't expect it to be released. Then again... A Windows update was just released not too long ago. Maybe you Nullsoft guys are going to surprise us Linux users with a great new way to crank up music on New Year's Eve, eh?

i would not consider it an update since no new fetures are in it, if it was a new update it would not be 1.0 #488c

no offence but i think ill stop visitng this site on a few days basis cos i give up.

I use Winamp3 on linux as much as possible, sometimes it's just too much of a pain to bother, but I have almost as many problems with XMMS as Winamp3, and that's only an Alpha.

                          Hang in there!

as far as xmms goes its a very good player dont get me wrong i just like Winamp. I liked the player in the old days i still do. xmms is very good its given me no problems and ive been using it for years, no way does winamp3 alpha compare to xmms i would be lucky to get winamp3 to not segfault after 5 minutes of usage, but no doubt winamp3 when it does finally get released for linux will be awesome.

Ahh fuck it i enjoy the threads in this forum.. Ill still be around. waiting patiently.
